I teksten står det at «en forsker har indeks h hvis h antall av forskerens totale antall publikasjoner har minst h antall siteringer og resten har færre enn h siteringer hver». Dette er en unøyaktig oversettelse, det skulle stått «resten har h eller færre siteringer hver» - se referanse 1 (1). Språklig er ikke forskjellen stor, men forskjellen kan omfatte et høyt antall artikler, og dette kan skape forvirring.
