Severe coronavirus disease is associated with hyperinflammation. The Lancet recently published an article by Puja Mehta and colleagues, which discusses whether secondary haemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) may be associated with severe coronavirus disease (COVID-19) (1).
