Jøran Hjelmesæth (born 1957) is Professor, MD, and specialist in internal medicine and renal diseases. He heads the interdisciplinary outpatient clinic and research group at the Morbid Obesity Centre, South-Eastern Norway Regional Health Authority at Vestfold Hospital. He is also Professor II at the Department of Endocrinology, Morbid Obesity and Preventive Medicine, Division of Medicine, Institute of Clinical Medicine, University of Oslo.
