Ånen Ringard (born 1970) has been Senior Adviser in the secretariat of the Norwegian Council for Quality Improvement and Priority Setting in Health Care since 2007. He has periodically acted as head of the secretariat. He is a political scientist (cand. polit.) from the University of Oslo. He has previously worked as a researcher in the Department of Health Management and Health Economics and as a research assistant at the Department of Community Medicine, both at the University of Oslo.
Berit Mørland (born 1942) is the former head of the secretariat of the Norwegian Council for Quality Improvement and Priority Setting in Health Care (2007 – 2010) and Deputy Director at the Norwegian Knowledge Centre for the Health Services. She is trained as a dentist, and has worked in the field of medicine at the universities of Tromsø and Oslo. She has a PhD in immunology. She is a former director of The Norwegian Health Technology Assessment (HTA) Centre. Prior to this, she has held various management positions in the Research Council of Norway, The Norwegian Association of Researchers and the Nordic Institute for Studies in Innovation, Research and Education.
Conflicts of interest: The secretariat of the Norwegian Knowledge Centre for the Health Services is governmentally funded to operate the Norwegian Council for Quality Improvement and Priority Setting in Health Care.

Bjørn-Inge Larsen (born 1961) is Director General of Health. He is trained as a medical doctor and has an MA in Business Administration and an MA in Public Health. He has been Head of the Directorate of Health since 2002, and has been Chair of the Norwegian Council for Quality Improvement and Priority Setting in Health Care since its establishment in 2007.
